01
Already in the Maldives?
Guests currently staying at a resort may still have time to add a private yacht experience before departure. Azalea can come directly to the resort where they are staying, allowing the family to step into a private day or short stay aboard without disrupting the wider holiday. The group may swim, snorkel, dine aboard or spend time near a quieter anchorage or sandbank. This works especially well when the resort stay is already successful but the group wants one day that feels more personal, mobile and entirely their own.
02
Already Booked but Not Yet Travelled?
The resort booking remains in place while Azalea is added before or after the stay. One or two nights aboard can create a distinct chapter without changing the main reservation. A yacht stay at the end works particularly well. The family enjoys the resort first, then moves aboard for a more private final stage before flying home. Azalea may also come first, giving the family time on the water before settling into a fixed island stay.
03
Still Planning the Resort Holiday?
When the itinerary is not yet finalised, the yacht and resort can be designed as one journey from the beginning. The resort may provide the island facilities, restaurants, spa and land-based space the family wants. Azalea adds movement, changing anchorages, direct access to the ocean and a smaller setting shaped around one travelling party. The split does not need to be equal. It may be one yacht day within a longer resort holiday, two nights aboard followed by a week on the island, or several nights in each setting.
04
What Does a Yacht Day Add?
A private yacht day is not simply another excursion. Dining, activities and the pace of the day are arranged around the charter party. Some guests may swim or snorkel while others remain on deck. Lunch can follow the group rather than a public timetable. Azalea's sea pool, waterslide, water sports and snorkelling or scuba-diving experiences can be shaped around how the guests want to spend the day. For planners, the value is that one day feels clearly different from the surrounding resort stay.
05
Is One Night Enough?
One night can work when the objective is to experience the yacht without significantly changing the itinerary. Guests may board during the day, remain for sunset and dinner, sleep aboard, and continue the following morning. Two or more nights create a fuller experience. The yacht has time to move, the family settles into the suites, and the stay begins to feel less like an excursion and more like a private journey.
06
Who Can Join the Yacht Segment?
As a private charter, Azalea is shaped around the guests and the people they choose to share it with. They may bring family, friends or personal staff and enjoy the yacht as their own private setting throughout the experience.
07
How Should Luggage Be Handled?
For a day trip, guests usually need only personal essentials. For one or two nights, a smaller overnight selection may be more practical than moving every item from the resort. The remaining luggage may stay at the resort or move separately, depending on what follows the yacht stay.
08
Can Azalea Collect Guests From Their Resort?
Yes. Azalea is designed to make the transition from resort to yacht smooth, convenient and personalised. Azalea comes directly to the resort where the guests are staying and welcomes them aboard from there. The collection is coordinated around the existing itinerary, so the family does not need to reorganise the holiday around the yacht. The yacht goes to the guests, creating a seamless move from the resort into their own private experience on the water.
09
When Should Azalea Be Added?
Earlier planning creates more choice, but guests already in the Maldives can still enquire about a private day or short stay. A resort booking does not make the opportunity too late. Azalea may still become the final day, the most private night or the part of the holiday that changes how the family sees the Maldives. The resort remains part of the journey. Azalea adds another dimension: one completely private day, a memorable ending or several nights that reveal a different side of the destination.
